After months of research and interviews CDI recently finished its study of digital inclusion & community engagement in the UK. We would like to invite you to an evening where we will share our results and present our vision and plans for the future:
To enable people in low-income communities to use, design and develop mobile apps for social change and community action.
Kindly supported by Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Unilever
Plan to take CDI mobile
CDI is now taking its trusted and tested PC-based model to the mobile internet. Our vision is to enable people in low-income communities to use, design and develop mobile apps for social change and community action.
In order to achieve this we will start with small groups of young people in deprived communities in the UK who are not in employment or formal education. CDI will be developing a new curriculum that takes advantage of the multimedia and geo-location capabilities of smartphones as well as the attractiveness of these devices to young people.
